Jonathan Castro
Bio
Born and raised in the San Francisco, Bay Area. Jonathan has had a camera in his hands since he was eight years old. Over the past 15 years he has worked with the Fortune One, Silicon Valley tech-giants, international banks, record labels and nightlife entertainment groups. After documenting the rise of EDM music nightlife & festivals, generating over 60 million organic views globally, he was later recrutied to Google where he shifted his focus towards Human-centered Design and Storytelling within future technologies.
After wrapping up two years as Creative Storyteller at Capital One Financial, Jonathan collaborated extensively with the Walmart Design team, documenting a behind the scenes look into the making of the newly debuted e-commerce site. He later served as the first Director of Storytelling at GSK (GlaxoSmithKline). Later he co-founded Portable Story Lab (patent pending), re-imagining the way we capture and craft authentic human stories at scale.
In recent years he has since relocated to the Dominican Republic and launched Kuibá Collective: a cultural project that blends visual art, dance music, and ancestral roots to inspire connection through immersive community experiences.
